THE CENTENNIAL
EXHIBITION PROJECT MEETING IN AUCKLAND The formation of an Auckland committee to co-operate with the company set up to establish the Wellington Centennial Exhibition will be considered at a meeting of delegates from local bodies and other organisations, to be held in the City Council chamber on Tuesday night. The meeting has been called by the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis, at the request of the Mayor of Wellintgon, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, who is chairman of directors of the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition Company, Limited. Mr. Hislop will attend the meeting and explain his proposal. It is tliought possible that he will be accompanied by the general manager of the company, Mr. C. P. Hainsworth. Invitations have been issued to local bodies in the Auckland metropolitan area, the Auckland Harbour Board, Chamber of Commerce, Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Manufacturers' Association, Farmers" Union, Rotary Club, and the various city retailers' organisations. The City Council recently decided to take up £SOO worth of shares in the Exhibition Company.
