EXTENSIONS AUTHORISED PROVISION FOR NEW WARD [FROM OUR own cobbespondent] , HAMILTON, Thursday The need for further extensions to the Te Kuiti Hospital to meet the growing requirements of the district formed the subject of a report received from the chairman, Mr. J. J. Ryburn, at to-day's meeting of the Waikato Hospital Board. • * An inspection of the hospital was recently made by Dr. R. A. Shore, Director of the Hospitals Division of the Health Department, and after reporting to Wellington, Dr. Shore advised that the Health Department had agreed to the conversion of the outpatients' block into a ward with provision for five beds. The measure was to be regarded as a temporary one. The cost was estimated at £3OO.
It was decided to apply to the department for authority to proceed- with tho work. -
