Silver Cloud, My Money and Rajana were the smartest beginners, others schooled being Pasture, First Gold Money, Jolly Broney, Bronze Ora, Ladv Defoe and the Philamor —Musket Vein filly. Fabric and Minga, from Wanganui, were exercised on the two-year-old track, and are to be galloped to-day, Minga being tried with Protector. Smoke Screen was given easy work on the No. 3 grass track, running the last three furlongs, still under restraint, in 40 2-ss. Entail, who worked over a round, at a little better than three-quarter pace, is to be paired with Fersen in his final trial this morning. Latest arrivals at Ellerslie include Small Boy, King Rev, lmpasto, Seven Seas, Golden Blonde, Native Song, Auto Sweep, Windcress, Simint, Silver Quex and Kena. Keyrock got a bad start, but finished well into fourth place. He is trained by 0. I!. Cox for Mrs. K. Paxton, and was one of three Rulanut yearlings sent over from the Maxwell stud last Faster to the Melbourne sales by Mr. J. G. Alexander.
