BEAUTIFUL FLOWERING TREE IN THE WAITAKERE RANGES The profuse blooming of the hikutara or dogwood tree presents one of the most colourful spectacles to be seen in the Waitakere bush this year. The trees, which are one of the most common kinds in the ranges, and average about 25ft, in height, are covered with small, white blossoms.
