CAMBRIDGE COMPETITIONS SUSTAINED INTEREST [from our own* correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday The loth annual festival of the Cambridge Competitions Society continues to attract large audiences. A particularly large number of entries was attracted in the rocal section yesterday and to-day, the solo with accompaniment having 18, the vocal solo under 16 years 25, and mezzo-soprano solo 21, making the adjudicators' task of selecting the winner a very difficult one.
Further awards made were as follows: Humorous Recital, Ladies or Gentlemen. —Miss Daphne Violich (Auckland), "It Rhymes with Spot," 84, 1; Miss Dorothy Loehead (Cambridge), 82, 2.
