MAYOR ISLAND FISHING
SPECIALLY-BUIVT LAUNCH
ENGLISH VISITOR'S PLANS [by telegraph—owx correspondent] TAURANGA. Saturday A visitor to Tauranga for the deepsea fishing off Mayor Island last season was Mr. W. Macpherson, of Alterstone, Hants, England, has written, to a Tauranga resident stating that ha is having a launch built in Auckland. It is 40ft. long, with an lift, beam, and will be fitted with Diesel engines cf "*36 horsepower each. The launch will be utilised by Mr. Macphersan for fishing off Mayor Island. The accommodation will be made i feature, and a. wireless set will be installed.
Mr. Macpherson intends leaving England on October 13 or 14 by the Orient liner Orcades, due at Sydney on November IS. He will stay in Sydney for a fortnight and hopes to arrive in Auckland about" December 7. H» has taken a house at Otumoetai, Tauranga, and intends staying here for about five months.
The launeh is being built by W.-G. Lowe and Sou, Limited, and is expected to be finished about the end of November,-.when Mr. Macpherson will take it to Tauranga.
