RACECOURSE FIRE
TROTTING CLUB'S LOSS DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £SOO [by telegraph—press association] GREYMOUTH, Saturday Damage to the extent of £SOO was done to the horse boxes and stables at the Grevmouth Trotting Club's Victoria Park cours-3 by a fire early this morning. The club's losses include a quantity of feed and harness. The property is insured for £350 with the Phoenix Assurance Company, Limited. Club officials stated that the damage would not affect the club's arrangements for its Labour Day week-end meeting, there being ample accommodation undamaged.
