STOCKS AND SHARES
[THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE
:buyers show more interest
Support for a number of Australian industrial shares, including those of tho base liietal group, showed a slight improvement on the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday morning. Otherwise no important change occurred, business was quiet, being again confined to transactions outside of tho call room.
Hank of New South Wales, Australian Glass, Broken Hill Proprietary and Electrolytic Zincs were among the issues for which buyers raided their limits Sellers, however, showed no inclination to make concessions, and margins still remained fairly wide. In the morning's business the principal movements were in Taranaki Oils, which declined sharply from last week's peak of 7s 9(1, and Auckland Gas, which were secured "fid cheaper.
