MRS. G. HUMPHRYS

The death has occurred of Mrs. Goodwin Huniphrys, who for many years was a well known school teacher under the Auckland Education Board and was actively associated here with the activities of the Church of England. She was the sixth daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Butcher, of Tauranga. She is survived by her husband, one son and one daughter. MRS. J. HUSTON [from out OWN COUUKSPONDEXTI WHAXGAKEI, Saturday The death occurred in the Whangarei District Hospital last evening of Airs. Mary Agnes Huston, of Onerahi, aged 77 years. Born in Kapunda, New South Wales, Mrs. Huston married Mr. Joseph Huston, and they came to New Zealand, taking up farming in the South Island. After some years they went to Gisborne, where for many years they were engaged in farming. In 1914 they went to Tauranga, where Mr. Huston was engaged in the fishing trade. About 10 years ago they came to the north and took up their residence in Onerahi, where Mr. Huston carried on in the fishing business for three years before retiring. Mrs. Huston is survived by her husband and two sons and two" daughters.
MR. JAMES PARR [from our own correspondent] MORRINSVILLE, Saturday A pioneer of the Morrinsville and Te Aroha districts, Mr. James Parr, died on Saturday, aged 85 years, at the home of his son, Mr. Ernest Parr, of Studhohne Street, with whom he had resided for a number of years. He was born at Nottingham and came out to New Zealand in 1870. After a few years in Canterbury he came to the aikato, where his elder brother, the late Mr. Reuben Parr, had settled, and was engaged in contracting for many jears. H<T was an uncle of Sir James Parr. Ho leaves three sons, three daughters, 14 grandchildren and six great-grand-children.
