EXTENSIONS AT WHANGAREI

WHANGAREI, Saturday
The Minister of Education, the Hon. P. Fraser, has notified the Whangarei High School Board of Governors that a grant has been authorised for temporary additions to the girls' hostel to meet the present position of overcrowding. The Public Works Department has been instructed to prepare sketch plans and an estimate for the erection of an entirely new hostel and a new girls' high school, two rooms of which it is proposed to erect in the near future.
