RENDEZVOUS AT SEA PASSENGERS FOR SPAIN ENGLISH YACHT ENGAGED LONDON. Sept. 20 When a radio broadcast was sent out for news of an English yacht it was engaged on 'a mysterious mission to Spain. The yacht is tho Renown (67 tons). Tho skipper on the mystery voyage was Captain Rex Guy. "Tho proposal to take the passengers was made in London," said 'Guy to-day. "We chartered the yacht and were given a rendezvous 100 miles out in the North Sea. We cruised around for 24 hours, saw nothing and returned to port, a second and a third rendezvous were given. As £750 had been paid into tho bank, this seemed to be expensive fooling

"We Tiad almost decided to return a third time when an Estonian vessel hailed us and sent three men on board. These men spoke somo Scandinavian language, and a little English. Most of the time they were below, playing cards and drinking vodka." After calls at Yarmouth, Dover and Havre, the Renown went to Spain. Off the coast of Spain, a sardine fisherman agreed to land the passengers, asking £5. He refused notes. The only coin available was £1 3s 6d. The fisherman accepted this and took the balance in two pounds of tobacco and a sevonpound tin of beef and two pounds of bread. About 48 hours later the Renown picked up the passengers from a fishing boat and returned to Havre.
