PLEASURE CRAFT SOLD
TWO AUCKLAND VESSELS 5 SHIPPED TO THE SOUTH Two of Auckland's fleet of pleasure craft, the launch Jean and the yacht Astral, have been bought by southern enthusiasts and were loaded into the Port Waikato yesterday for shipment to the South. The Astral, which is 30ft. long, and the Jean, which measures 35ft., were lifted into the hold of the Port Waikato by the Auckland Harbour Board's floating crane.
The Astral, which was owned in Auckland by Mr. A. M. Trevarthan, has been sold to Mr. Mellor. of A\ ellington. On the floating crane it weighed 7 J tons. The owner .in Auckland, of the Jean was Mr. F. Bellbooth. Tlie vessel has been sold to Colonel J. J. Jisson, of Picton. Its weight on the crane was 14 tons. .
Both craft will be discharged at Wellington. The Jean will cross Cook Strait to Picton under its own power. It is to be used for cruising in the Marlborough Sounds..
