An error occurred in tho printing of the Milk and Cream Price ' Schedules in the Heralp of Saturday, the lltb instant. Number C. 9 (b) (2) of the Price Fixing Resolutions appeared in tho notice as:— (2) Whero bought in quantities'of less than 10 gallons in any one day, 1/5% per gallon. Whereas the price actually fixed for such case and which should have appeared .under the above heading was 1/5% per gallon. Notice is hereby given that a Local Bill will bo introduced into Parliament during tho onsuing Session thereof under the title of " The Auckland Metropolitan Milk Amendment Act, 1037." The objects of the Bill are to amend the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Act, 1033, by:— (a) Providing that tho five members of the Council and tho other local authorities within the Milk District, bo hereafter elected by tho olectors of the Boroughs, Town Districts and Road Districts, and of any part of any County situated within the Milk District and making provision for tho conduct of such elections and of by-eloctions. (b) Providing that tho noxt general election of members of the' Council be held on the second Wednesday in February, 1030, tho following ono on tho second Wednesday in May, 1041, and subsequent general oloctions on tho second Wednesday in May in every third year. (c) Providing that after the year 1040 the annual meeting of tho Council be hold in May of each year, instead of in February. (d) Empowering tho Council to mako a special levy as security for any special loan. (e) Empowering the Council to assume tho sole right to purchase milk for tho Auckland Metropolitan Milk District. (f) Empowering the Council to treat, sell or distribute milk and cream and carry on cortain othor operations in connection therewith (subject as to tho exorcise of certain of such powers to tho consent of the Minister of Agriculture). (g) Empowering tho Council to compensate for injury duo to exercise of its powers. (h) Empowering the Council to cancel or refuse licence to debtor milk-vendors in certain circumstances. (i) Altering constitution of Court to hear prico appeals. (j) Altering maximum yearly payment to members. (k) Altering tho period within which a resolution of the Council shnll bo publicly notified from three days after tho meeting at which the samo is passed, to five days after such meeting. N >{l) Empowering the Council to establish special funds for contingencies, (ml Empowering tho Council to pay tho costs of legislation. (n) Generally making provision onabling tho Council moro effectively to achieve the purposes of tho principal Act. The above Bill will bo introduced into Parliament by or on behalf of tho Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council. Copies of tho said Bill have, in accordance with tho Standing Orders, boon doposiled in the Mngistratcn' Court at Auckland, and at tho Offico of tho Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council, York Chambers, Victoria Stroot East, Auckland, and are there open for public inspection.
