TRAMPING ACTIVITIES
Active programmes were arranged by nil tramping clubs during the weekend, mostly in the Pukematikeo district. A party from the Alpine Sports Club, who passed through the Cascades, Kauri Park, camped at Anawhata, while other members of the club were at the club hut at the head of the Piha Valley. Members from the Auckland Tramping Club and the Kitchener Scout Troop tramped to the kauri forest, and over 20 from the TJniversitv Club explored the little-known streams near the Fairy Falls in the vicinity of the Dreamlands Estate. A week-end camp had also been arranged at Lake Waiomo, near Bethels, by *a patrol from the Gordon Scout Troop.
