OVERLOADED LORRIES
[FKOM OUR OWN COIUIKSI'ON I)F,NT] HAMILTON, Monday Eight transport firms were charged in tho Hamilton Police Court to-day with carrying loads in excess of that permitted by the classification of the roads on which they were found. Tho loads included dead cattle, bobby calves, ptimico and general merchandise, and in several cases tho traffic inspectors admitted that it was difficult for the drivers to assess tho weight of their loads. Fines ranging from 10s to £2 , wore imposed.
