OPERATION OF INCREASES
[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] ' WELLINGTON, Monday Information has bodn received by the head offices of the overseas shipping companies in Wellington from the Australian and New Zealand Passenger Conference th.it the increases in fares announced . from London are operative by all ships leaving the United Kingdom outward bound and Australia "andjNew Zealand homeward bound on and; after October 1. • Passengers who have made reservations prior to September 11 will be allowed until October 11 to complete the. bookings by payment of the deposit at the old rates. All new bookings' after .September 10 for sailings oiv or "after October 1 will be at the :nd\v rates, which have been increased ir£ an average of 10 per cent. a same arrangements apply to passages .by ships trading between AustrsJ«v an?3/or .New Zealand and the Coast of .North Anierk'a;, i ! >;
