CONFERENCE AT TAURANGA [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN- CORRESPONDENT] TAURANGA. Monday The conference of the . Church of England Men's Society which is to be held in Tauranga this week is the 24th meeting of this kind organised by the New Zealand branch of the society. Delegates from various parts of the Dominion will attend, and both the clergy and the laity will be well repre-.- , sented. Great interest is being aroused by the visit of the Rt. Rev. J. A. Kempthorne, until recently Bishop of Lichfield. Dr. Kempthorne has been one of the outstanding leaders in England both in religious and social spheres. The New Zealand episcopate will be represented by Bishop Williams (Waiapu), Bishop Cherrington (Waikato), and Bishop Holland (Wellington). The Bishop of Waiapu will be president of the conference, which opens to-morrow, and will continue on Wednesday and Thursday.
