SECOND TEST TEAM EIGHTEEN CHOSEN CHANGES MADE IN SCRUM PROVISION FOR WET DAY [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] TIMARTJ, Wednesday After training this afternoon it was announced that 18 players had been selected from which to choose the Springbok team to meet the All Blacks in the second test match at Christchurch on Saturday next. The players are as follows: — Fullback.—G. Brand. Wings.—Turner, Williams. Centres.—Babrow, Hofmeyr or White. Stand-off Halves.—Harris or van der Vyver. Scrum Halves.—Craven or do Villiers. Back Row.—Bergh. Middle Row.—Bastard, Nel, van den Berg, Strachan. Front Row.—S. C. Louw, Lotz, M M. Louw. Tho possibility of a wot ground made an alternative hack formation neees.sary. Harris is still suffering from a knee injury as the result of a knock in the South Canterbury match, but the remaining players are fit. • The Springbok scrum differs slightly from that which took part in tho first test at Wellington on August 14. M. M. Louw replaces Jennings in the front row, while Nel goes into the second row in place of Bergh, who takes tho place of van Reenen in the back row.
