NEWS FROM TAURANGA
A musical evening was given by Mrs. Christian and Miss Beth Gibson at the former's home, Fairlight, the guest of honour being Miss Theo Halpin, of Auckland. The ladies present were:—Mrs. Gibson, Mrs. Castles, Mrs. M. P. Munro, Mps. Middleton, Mrs. L. A. James, Miss Phyllis Mountfort, Miss Nancy Castles, Miss Lynette Christian. Mrs. S. Besley, of Waverley, is the guest of Mrs. H. Bradmore. Mrs. Shields, of Wanganui, is visiting Tauranga. Mrs. Talbot Hunt, of Ohauiti, is spending a week in Rotorua. Mrs. C. Boak, of Fifth Avenue, is spending the school holidays at Mount Maunganui. Mrs. M. P. Munro, of Cameron Road, is visiting Rotorua. Mrs. H. S. Benjamin, of Otumoetai, has left on a three weeks' cruise on the Maunganui. Miss Gladys Corbett, of Wellington, is visiting relatives in Tauranga. Mrs. E. J. Munro, of Gate Pa, is on a visit to Auckland.
Mrs. Cotter, of Auckland, is visiting relatives at Greerton. Miss Betty Dale, of Wellington, is. visiting her parents at Bethlehem. Mrs. Hart, of Christchurch, who has been staying at the Mount, has returned home.
