PAINTER REMANDED
A painter. John Freeman, appeared before Mr. AV. R." McKean, S.M. , in tho Police Court yesterday, charged with stealing, at Auckland on August 24. an overcoat valued at £lO, the property of Arthur Edwin Andrews., In asking for a remand until to-morrow, Detective-Sergeant Walsh said accused was arrested only on Tuesday and fur the l inquiries were to be made. The remand was granted.
