NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION MR. P. HARRISON PRESIDENT [by telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON, Wednesday At (he annual meeting of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association the management committee was recommended to invite A. C. Stedman and C. E. Malfroy to New Zealand to play in tournaments, and to send back to England with them two resident New Zealanders for the 1038 Davis Cup team. Mr. Percy Harrison, of Auckland, was elected president of the association for 1037-33. , MANAWARU CLUB [ by ti:r.ec ra pit —own coit iikspondent] TE AROHA, Wednesday At the annual meeting of the Manawaru Tennis Club a successful season was reported. It was decided to enter A and B teams in the local competition. The following officers were elected: —President, Air. J. C. Downey; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Hughes, It. Poots. J. D. Bryce, J. O'Sullivan. W. Carmichael, sen., and McDonald; secretary, Mr. W. Carmichael. j un.; club captain. Mr. W. Sheehan: delegates to Piako Tennis Association, Messrs. Downey. W. Carmichael. jun., and W. Sheehan; committee, Mesdames Marshall and McDonald, Miss Tj. Osborne, Messrs. D. Scott. K. Hughes, tlio president, secretary and club captain.
