THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE .'BROKEN HILLS AGAIN LOWER Business viis well maintained on tiie [Auckland Stock Fxehange .yesterday, when values showed a slightly firmer « trend. Dealing was marked by a further marking down in levels lor Broken Hill Proprietary 'on a weak market. Values dropped a further Is 3d to 80s 'Jd on '• tale, while more were offered at 80s. Banks were cjuietly steady. There was a strong inquiry for New Zeiilands, but a transfer av late rates exhausted all available supplies. In the insurance section South British returned to the ]:i"h priee.of .Lo. Auckland Gas shares " met with'an active inquiry at unchanged prices. Dominion industrials attracted attention among the miscellaneous issues •and a stronger tone was noticeable, l'eters lee gained a full 2s in dealing, and the steady advance in Gear .Meats was earned a further stage. There was a further slight foi'waid movement in G. J- .Coles. Electrolytic Zincs tended lower. Taranaki Oils again improved.
