SNOOKER CHAMPION
APPEARANCE IN AUCKLAND The world's greatest snooker player, Horace J.indruin, is due to arrive in Auckland on Monday morning next, by the Niagara on his way to England. He has already visited Malta, Ceylon,. India, Straits Settlements, Philippine Islands and Australia, where he has given exhibitions with Melbourne Illman, the well-known English billiards player, who is accompanying him on a world's tour. Lindriim attracted thousands in England to see Lis amazing exhibitions of "snooker, and a London paper stated: —"You have not seen snooker as it should he played unless you see this amazing Australian wizard." L/n'drum will make his only public appearance'in New Zealand next Monday- evening at the Olympic Sports Hooms, Queen Street, where he will play billiards ■ with Auckland's champion,. Carriek, and will also plav snooker with L. Holdsworth, It. Carrick, M: D. White, and Auckland's snooker champion, R. Davies. Auckjanders are fortunate in having the opportunity of seeing this wonderful' player, as on Tuesday nioiiiing, Lindrum and Jninati both continue their journey per the Niagara, en rout© to London.
