AVONDALE WOMEN'S CLUB
The monthly meeting of the Avondalo Women's Club was held recently, Mrs. Thorn presiding. Business matters and correspondence were dealt with, including a letter of resignation from Mrs. Gill, the treasurer, on account of ill-health. Mrs. Hedges was appointed treasurer for the ensuing term. The speaker for the afternoon was Mrs. Ruby Watson, whose subject was "Advertising." Mrs. M. Cooper rendered songs, accompanied on the pin no hv Mrs. Bollard. Mrs. Becroit and Mrs. Davevs entertained with recitations. Mrs. "Bluemanthol presented the performers with a. bouquet each. Afternoon tea brought an enjoyable meeting to a close.
