YOUTH'S QUANDARY
FOSTER PARENTS SOUGHT LAD FROM NEW ZEALAND 'i SYDNEY, August 28 Tho Stin states that William Parkinson, aged 19, was unable to leave the Manama, on her arrival from New Zealand, because ho did not know his real name and could not find his foster parents. The Maraina left Wellington on August 9 for Port Stephens. Parkinson said lie had been to a dance and decided to sleep on tho Marania. Ho wont to tho saloon and wns soon nsleep. Ho awoke next morning to find tho vessel was at sea. Tho youth says ho has foster parents in Sydney and claims that Sydney is his birthplace. Ho states tliat t ho was adopted by the Parkinsons as a baby. Subsequently Parkinson was granted exemption by the Customs authorities' to land in Australia and remain for a month. Tho Rev. A. R, Ebbs offered to take the youth on his farm for unemployed youths and Parkinson was handed over to tho caro of Mr. Ebbs.
