In the end Kent won by the narrow margin of ono wicket. New Zealand's cheap loss of the last four wickets in the second innings left the county ab easy-looking task. When Kent were 109 for two wickets at lunch time tho match seemed as good as over. However, Now Zealand, with brilliant bowling and fine fielding, then captured seven wickets in an hour.
