CHURCH CONCERT
A successful national concert, in aid of the funds of St. John's Church, was held in the Royal Oak Hall on Thursday evening, under the auspices of the ladies' guild. The programme, arranged by Dr. Kirkwood, included piano solos by Miss C. Brook, songs by Mrs. R. F. Ellis, Miss Patti Schnackenberg, Mr. W. I. Ker and Mr. J. O'Malley; part songs by the Scottish choir; dances by Miss Betty Jeffreys; humorous sketches by Mrs. Close and Mrs. Taylor; and bagpipe selections by Mr. J. Cowper. Mrs. Macintosh, Miss C. Brook and Miss P. Coates were accompanists. Mr. C. E. Craig was stage manager.
