ANNUAL LADIES' NIGHT

ENJOYABLE FUNCTION'

The Auckland Savage Club fully, up. held its reputation for bright and varied entertainment on Saturday night, when it held its annual ladies' night in the Lewis Early Hall. There was a large attendance of members and visitors. The president, Mr. F. Ambler, extended a. cordial welcome to the gathering. Assisting with the programme were: —Mr. Hoy Simpson and Mr. W. Harris, who contributed songs; Mr. Jack Parsons, who recited; Mr. Alan McElwain, who provided humour; M r . Haydn Murray, who played a violin solo; and the Lyric Quartette. Community singing was led by Air. T. T. Garland, and selections by the orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Colin Muston, added to th|j evening')} enjoyment.
