Miss Beth Swanston returned to Auckland on Saturday from a visit to Rotorua.
Mrs. Dorothy Skinner, of Christchurch, is a visitor to Auckland for a few days. •
Mrs. Charles Gager, of Hikurangi, and Miss Gwen Gager have left on the Islands cruise.
Airs. Ringland, of Napier, is visiting her daughter, Airs. J. Fitzsimons, of Remuera Road.
•Aliss Dorothy Armitage, of Tauranga, is the guest of Airs. James A. Lamb, jun., Gladstone Road, Parnell.
Mrs. B. C. Bennett, of Wellington, who has been spending a holiday at Waiwera, has returned home.
Airs. Desmond Williams, of Te Awamutu, is visiting Airs. Norman Williams, Arney Road, Remuera.
Airs. H. 0. Wiles, Lucerne Road, Remuera, will leave to-morrow to visit her daughter in Palmerston North.
Miss Gay. Wilson and Miss Bub Suter, Portland Road, Remtiera, have returned from a fortnight's visit to the Chateau.
At the Station Hotel are: —Airs. K. Welch (Hamilton), Airs. D. Edmonds and Aliss Edmonds, and Aliss Lamb (Wellington), Aliss E. Vazey (Whangarei), Airs. A. Dixon (Feilding).
Four members of the Otahuhu Ladies' Golf Club, Mrs. E. McNeely (Papat'oetoe), Airs. V. Davies and Misses C. Staunton and F. Armstrong (Alangere), left for Rotorna at the week-end on a golfing holiday.
With his wife and family, Constable W. Butler was farewelled at Hikurangi prior to leaving for Auckland, to which city he has been transferred. Mrs. Butler was presented with a statuette, and the children with a purse of notes.
The ladies' auxiliary of the Community Sunshine Association held its monthly meeting at Sunshine House on Thursday, Mrs. Champneys Bright presiding. Mrs. A. Turner reported that good business had been experienced at the Winter Show stall.,, Miss Gladys Stormont rendered several delightful songs.
