FAMILY HIKING TOUR
MOTHER AND CHILDREN WELLINGTON TO ROTORUA * [by telegraph—OWN* correspondent} NAPIER, Saturday A mother and three small children on a hiking tour from Wellington to Rotorua arrived at Napier yesterday. The mother stated that the trip from Wellington commenced on Tuesday. It had not consisted entirely of hiking. On several occasions the party had been given rides in motor-cars and yesterday had ridden almost all the distance from Dannevirko to Hastings bv car. The journey, the second of its kind the party lias made, lias no definite limits, but if the length of the school holidays permits they will reach Rotorua. The last journey, also in the school holidays, was from Wellington to the East Coast and back through the King Country. Packs carried by the mother ajid her three children, aged six, nine and 10, contain blankets, a change of clothing and cooking utensils, but the party usually spends each night at a hotel. They left Napier this morning o,n the next stage of the journey to Rotorua.
