MAORI CHILD'S DEATH
SPIRIT STOVE CAPSIZED .SEVERE BURNS RECEIVED [by telegraph—own correspondent! OPOTIKI, Friday Fatal burns were received by a six-year-old Maori girl, Haromi Turepe, at Waiotahi, about eight miles fro® Opotiki. The child was- in a room in which milk was' being boiled on & methylated spirits stove, and- when left there alone upset the stove, receiving burns from, tho hot milk. Her clothes also caught file, - and she was severely burned before she received help. The child was admitted to the Opotiki Hospital in ajserious condition, and died shortly from shock.
