GREASE ON COAT COLLARS Eucalyptus oil will remove grease from men's coat collars or from other materials. Apply with a piece a clean flannel and rub gently until the stains disappear. Getting Rid of Earwigs

A reader in Christchurch, whero earwigs aro very troublesome, says that it is a splendid plan to put sticks in the ground in different parts of the garden, and put on tho top of each an old stocking or a cube of newspaper, in which the earwigs will collect in hordes for warmth. They can then bo destined. Rusty Wire Mattress Aluminium paint would form a good covering to keep ofr rust. Just put on like paint and allow it to dry thoroughly in an airy place, taking care that every bit of wire has been covered. Any good varnish would form a good protection, too, if put on To clean off the rust already there, use kerosene or olive oil. Take a strong cloth dipped in either tho oil or the kerosene, then dip it in some powdered quicklimo, and rub hard over the rusted wire for a few minutes, when tho rust will como off readily.
