Tho Women's Progress Cltlb mootiiif; held on Wednesday at the Higher Thought Centre "took tho form of a mother and daughter afternoon, many members and .voting people attending. Mrs. Charles Dickens presided. An enjoyable programme was presented by tho juvenile members. It included songs and recitations bv Joyce Allen, Norma Punch, Florence McKinstrev, .Jocelyn Malono, Gwendoline Allan,.Bettv Brown, Leone Allen ntid liny Allen 'and Eldred Dickens.. Mrs Morten was pianist for tho community singing. .. , A fairy story, specially written tor the occasion, was read by Mrs. Pettrcp. and competitions W<ir6 Won by Mrs. Houghton, Mrs. Penrce and Mrs, Hubbert. A posy of primroses was ( presented to Mrs. St urges on tho occasion of her birthday, and each child received a decorated basket of swoftts. Tea was served by Mrs. Gi'deu and Mrs. Daverick.
