MOTOR FIRMS' BALL
FUNCTION AT HAMILTON The first annual motor ball, organised by the Hamilton motor firms, was held in the Regent Ballroom on Wednesday night. There was a largo attendancel Striking decorations had been carried out in the ballroom, where a largo canopy of scarlet .and gold streamers was suspended from the ceiling, Further colour was given to the scene by largo clusters of balloons and cascades of scarlet streamers over the square lampshades. Punga fronds and fernery covered the surrounding pillars. A message of welcome emblazoned in silver formed the background to tho stage. Punga fronds wero used for the sides and archways while scarlet and gold streamers were arranged across the front. Ferns decorated the supper balcony where the tables were bright with flowei'S in a colour scheme of scarlet and gold. Two bands were in attendance. Among those present were: —Airs. \V. A.
