PROGRESS DURING YEAR ST. ANDREWS PRESBYTERIAN [from our own correspondent! HAMILTON, Friday Membership was stated to be 449 in the session report presented at the annual meeting of parishioners of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Average attendance at communion had been 307. The management committee's report stated that the financial position of the church was satisfactory. The year had opened with a debit balance of £sl, which had been converted into a credit of £67 17s 6d. Money raised during the year for all church purposes amounted to £I4OB. • The standing debt on the church property had been reduced by £25 to £2200. Messrs. A. Anderson, F. Findlay, R. T. Gilmour, E. E. Hooper, C. L. MacDiarmid, J. Primrose, A. J. Warn, J. Hamilton, D. A. Sellar and C. Wright were elected elders and Messrs. D. V. Bryant, A. W. Green, C. Henry, E. L. Jones, B. Primrose and E. T. Robinson were appointed to the board of management. A presentation was made to the Rev. j; T. Burrows, who was warmly thanked for his services to the church. "On the whole, the Sabbath services have been well attended, but I feel that the evening services, owing to counter-attractions, are not receiving the support that is warranted," stated the. Rev. H. J. Lilburn at the annual meeting of the congregation of Knox Presbyterian Church. Progress generally had been restricted bv lack of funds. Messrs. A. Milne, Sharp, G. A. Henderson, and T. Martin were re-clected to the board of managers. Mr. J. - Gardiner was presented with a writing set prior to his departure for Auckland.
