The dividend is at nn unchanged rate. It is paid in sterling, subject to British income tax. r AIR TRAVEL (N.Z.), LIMITED INCREASE IN DIVIDEND The accounts of Air Travel (N.Z.), Limited, Ohristchurch, for the year ended June 30. show a profit of £5)17, against £387 in the previous year. The directors provided £96 for income tax and have written £IOO off preliminary expenses, reducing the item to* £l5O, while £430 has been placed to insurance reserve, increasing it to £SOO. They now recommend a dividend of 5 per cent, against 3 per cent last year, requiring £209, leaving £209 to be carried forward, against £127 brought in. The company operates an air mail and passenger service on the West Coast. The past year was its second full year of operation. The amount of mail increased by 177 per cent and that of goods by 83 per cent. Passengers carried were higher by 82 per cent. The company's paid capital is £4687. PUTARURU, Friday A successful year, with a record gross revenue account, was reviewed at the fourteenth annual meeting of. the Putarnru Farmers' Saleyanls Company, Limited. Mr. D. D. Sneddon, chairman of directors, presided. The annual report stated that the heavy losses incurred by the company in its early years, which amounted to several hundreds of pounds, had been greatly reduced, the sum of £3l only being outstanding.
