BURIED BY EARTH FALL
MAN DIES OF INJURIES o SLIP FOLLOWS BLASTING [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION*] NELSON, Thursday As a result of injuries received when ho was buried by a fall of earth during road-building operations in Cobb Valley, Mr. Allan Ross, a single man, aged 30 years, died yesterday afternoon at about 4 p.m. A charge brought down a quantity of debris. While the roadway was being cleared a slip occurred, and Mr. Ross was buried. Workmen immediately dug him out, and found that he was unconscious, and his legs and body were badly crushed. Dr. Byddor, of Taknkn, was sent for, while Ross was carried down the valley, a distance of two miles, to Sam's Creek, but he died prior to the doctor's arrival. Mr. Boss' relatives live in England.
