RECEPTION TO PRESIDENT Tho president of the New Zealand Labour Party, Mr. J. Roberts, is to be tendered a reception in the Labour Club rooms to-night. Mr. Roberts is at present in Auckland on Arbitration Court business. . . • On Monday a social evening is being arranged in honour of the Hon. It. Semple, Minister of Public Works, who arrives in Auckland by the Awatea that day. It is possible that Mr. I'. W. Schramm, M.P. for Auckland Last, and Mr K. .J. Howard, M.P. for Christchurch South, may accompany liim on tho trip from Sydney, and n this is so they also will bo invited to Monday night's function. Plans are being made for a welcome to the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, Minister of Labour, who will arrive in Auckland on September 20, after attending the International Labour Conference at Geneva.
