BURGLARIES ADMITTED
TWO MEN BEFORE COURT LARGE NUMBER OF CHARGES [by telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON, Thursday Twenty one charges of breaking and entering and theft wore admitted in the Police Court yesterday by Peter McNichol, aged 24, who was committed to the Supremo Court for sentence. A detective gave evidence that accused explained that he was out of work and needed money. The value of the articles stolen was £2l,'}, and property valued at £GB has been recovered. Eight burglaries in the Pahautanm and Paekakariki districts early this month were admitted by Jack .Norton, alias Jack Veinstone, alias George Norton, aged 28, a?seaman, who was remanded to Palmerston North on another charge of burglary alleged to have been committed at Levin. He will appear subsequently at Wanganui and Auckland. On the charges heard to-day he was committed to the Auckland Supreme Court for sentence.
