THE DOMINION'S CONCERN VISIT OF MR. A. HENDERSON [BY TELEGRAPH —MIESS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Thursday There were some people in New Zealand who took tho view that they should not worry about what ' was taking place in Europe, and much tho same point of view was expressed in tho United States of America: that, in his view, was a short-sighted attitude, Bald Mr. Arthur Henderson, a Labour member of tho British House of Commons, who is on his way to tho conference of the International Peace Movement at Melbourne, speaking at a civic reception in his honour at "Wellington to-doy. Modern science had brought the countries of the world closer together, and it was no uso people deluding themselves into tho belief that what took place in one part of the world was no concern of theirs, said Mr. Henderson. Ho emphasised tho necessity for nations to rccogniso tho rulo of law instead of tho rulo of force. Unless they did that thore would be a very poor outlook for civilisation. Mr. Henderson was welcomed by the Minister of Defence, tho Hon. P. Jones, as well as by tho Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop. Mr. Henderson paid a visit to tho Stato housiag at Miramar, and was tho guest of the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, at Government House.
