'ARRANGEMENTS FOR RECESS " EXTENSION TO OCTOBER 21 (Received July 27. G. 5 p.m.) British Wireless ItUGBY. Jul.v 20 Parliament adjourns next Friday for the summer recess, which will extend to October 21, the customary arrangements will be made by which it will bo possible for the Lord Chancellor and the Speaker, after consultation with the Government should tho Deed arise, to recall the two Houses at an earlier date.
According to tlie present intentions the sitting on October 21 will be largely formal as all the necessary business will have been transacted by the end of this week. Parliament thereupon will be prorogued and the King will open a new session on Tuesday, October 26.
This will be t lio first occasion since his accession that the King will ha \0 gono to "Westminster to open Parliament with the pageantry customary to the occasion. ■
