TRIAL MATCH TO-DAY NEW ZEALAND PLAYERS PREPARING FOR AUSTRALIANS With a view to selecting a New Zealand Rugby League team to play the touring Australian side on Saturday week, two representative trial teams have been chosen and a match will be played at Cnrlaw Park this 'afternoon. The Probables team includes four South Island players and two forwards from Wellington. Both teams are well matched and are fully representative of the best New Zealand' standard. The selectors are faced with a difficult task in selecting the forwards. It is intended to rearrange the positions of the players after half-time, and some experiments are likely to be made. N. Kiely,- the West Coast centre'-' threecjuarter, is reported to bo a promising player, and it will be interesting to see bow be shapes against A. Kay, who is a fine attacking back.
