LECTURE TOUR BEGUN
REV. ANDERSON JARDINE CAUSE OF FORMER KING (Received July 23, 0.10 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 22 Lecturing at Baltimore for the first time in the United States, the Rev. Anderson Jardine, who performed the religious ceremony at the wedding of the Duke of Windsor, said: "The Duke was driven from the throne by the ecclesiastical Archbishop of Canterbury and a grandmotherly person called Baldwin. "Future generations will read of the Archbishop who cursed instead of praying, of a shrieking and demented priesthood, and of one little cleric who obeyed his conscience and gave tho exiled King-Emperor God's blessing. "Histor.v will vindicate what was done in England, sealed in Franco and wcirked out in a chaotic, hate-driven world. I believo the Duke of Windsor is too big for one nation or Empire. I Tho world needs him. He is tho only man capable of steering the nations to peace." Mr. Jardino's audience, composed of GOO persons, listened apathetically.
