AUSTRALIAN VISITORS NEW ZEALANDER'S DEFEAT LONDON, July 15 A tennis match was commenced at Eastbourne between Australia and England, under Davis Cup conditions. The results, English players' names first, are:— C. E. Hare beat J. H. Crawford, 6 —2, 6—2, 2—6, 3—6, 6—3. H. W. Austin beat V. B. McGrath, 6—l, 6—2, 6—3. In the fourth round of the singles at the Frinton tournament, J. S. Olliff, one of England's most-travelled players, beat D. C. Coombe (New Zealand champion), 6 —o, 7—9, 6 —3.
