POPULARITY OF THE "TEN"
AUSTIN FIRM'S EXPERIENCE Which is the most popular typo of car to-day? There is little doubt that pride of place must bo given to the 10 horse-power saloon, although the eight horse-power models come a good second. During the month of February, the most recent for which official returns are yet available, the registrations of ten horse-power cars in Great Britain totalled 6,249, or some 900 moro than those for cars of eight horse-power. That this popularity of the "ten" is being maintained, is confirmed by news from the Austin Company, one of the leading producers of cars of this type, which announces that Austin "Ten" deliveries for the past two months are 12 per cent higher than the figures for tho same period of last year, this incidentally constituting a new high record.
The ever-popular Austin "Seven" also is in strong demand, and for the period in question deliveries show an increase of 16 per cont. Total Austin deliveries, which also constitute a clear record, show an advance of 18 per cent.
