NEW FLOWER NOTIONS
Flower containers, matched to the exact tint of the walls of reception rooms, so that they act as an unobtrusive background for flower arrangements, are the new idea. A range of these bowls and vases in classical designs is made of white Devon clay baked to give a deep cream tone and glazed only inside. Women have the unglazed outside toned to the pastel shade of their drawingroom. . Narrow mantelpieces, rooms where only wall vases can bo used, and arrangements of leaves and berries each call for special vases. Wall vases of pottery are pierced at the back and should bo secured to the wall where they are standing.
