GILDO ,T0 MEET HUGHES Tho contest beween Gildo and Archie Hughes arranged by tho Auckland Boxing Association should provide one of tho most interesting and spectacular contests to date. Tho Filipino gained a narrow points decision m their first meeting at Hamilton in a fight that was considered one of tho best seen in tho Waikato for many years. Gildo had Hughes on the mat in tho early stages, but tho contest was hard fought and ovenly contested. Tho amateur programmo is varied and interesting. Followers of tho gamo will bo pleased to see Hughio Sheridan in action again, but it remains to bo seen whether he can tako tho decision from Canavan, or Dargavillo.
