AN UNEXPECTED GIFT
Melbourne has many free givers in tlie cause of religion, states the Argus, but not always do they answer an appeal with the most appropriate donations. The superintendent of the Melbourne Benevolent Hospital for thp Aged and Infirm, Mr. A. C. Newton, stated that when recently he decided to establish a chapel at the home he converted a large room for the purpose. He then published an appeal for furnishings. The first article to arrive was a baptismal font.
