PIPE BAND'S SEASON
SOUTH AUCKLAND SOCIETY [from quji OWN correspondent] HAMILTON. Thursday Expenditure of £IOO on uniforms i'or the pipe band was authorised at the annual meeting of the South Auckland Caledonian Society last night. A profit of over £IOO was reported. Moro than £295 had been spent on band equipment and the band's fund stood at £335. A loss of £7O on the North Island band contest had been offset by the sum, of £7O won as prizemo noy. i Tho following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr. A. McHao; chief, Mr. E. ,T. Trevena; chieftains, Messrs. V. S. Harris, K. Graham, B. Gilmour; secretary and treasurer, Mr. L. H. Camoroli; pipe major, Mr. S. Clothier; committee, Messrs. J. Clements, 1. Forster, H. Kennedy, S. Rogerson, M. Scott, It. Watt; auditor, Mr. W. Glover.
