BASKETBALL DANCE
KILLARUA CLUB FUNCTION Clusters of red lacquered gum nuts and leaves decorated the Catholic Women's League rooms last night, when the fifth annual dance was held by the members of the Killarua Basketball Club. The captain, Miss Pat Hunter, who was wearing a frock of ciel blue Chan til ly lace, received the guests. A demonstration of tap dancing was given by Mr. Douglas Hannigan.
The committee comprised:—Miss Joan Horspool, who was wearing a frock of red, green and white tartan crepon, and Miss Myra Hodge, in electric blue taffetas.
Among those present were: —Mrs. W. Cotton, Miss Dorothy Bradfield, Miss Lois Davidson, Miss Helen Laurie, Miss Lexie Benton, Miss Joan Moore, Miss Grace Graham, Miss Joy Hick, Miss Gay Ciimmings, .Miss Flora Dobbie, Miss Aileen Eden, 31 iss Audrey Dobbie, Miss Sonia Parkes, Miss Joyce Metcalfe. Miss Stella Norric, Miss Lorna Whitehead, Miss Mavis Hale, .Miss Jean Greenwood, Miss Dot Bainbury, Miss Joyce Wilson, Miss Alice Batty.
